I might get flamed as well, but I am in a similar boat as you. I have had
what was supposedly a NOS GS seatpost and compared it to what was supposedly a
NOS NR seatpost. i saw Absolutely No discernable difference between the two. In
Campy catalogs I have seen that the same Campy front derailleur called
"Record" showed up in later years as a "G.S" front derailleur, same part number/same
everything. I have had the same experience when it came to having the same
parts in my physical possession. I have a feeling some list member will tell me
the exact opposite, but I am only affirming what I have see with my own two
eyes, hands, etc.
