I think the Buy-It-Now price is a little high, and I guess the first three bidders felt so to. This is not Bianchis top model, but a nice bike. Just my opinion based on what $875 will buy you on eBay nowdays. Seller is Nels Cone of Seattle.

Chuck Schmidt South Pasadena, Southern California -------------------------------------------------------------- Chuck- Say there. I believe the info you are giving is a little off. The Specialissima (aka Superleggera) was Bianchi top end model for 1983. More accurately, I believe it was the second to the top of the line in 82, behind the Super Corsa that also was Campy SR equipped except it came with Ti BB and pedal spindles and perhaps an Everest alloy FW as well. Didn't John Baron and Charles Andrew recently sell early 80s Specialissimas to the list for $1100+? I don't know if theirs was the Ti/alloy tricked out versions. If so, then I can see why the difference in prices. cheers- Dave Anderson Cut Bank MT

p.s. Chuck, I also might mention that its known that you have some sort of personal beef going on with this seller, or perhaps your comments are just a coincidence? In fact if you look at Your own information below you distinctly state that the catalog for 1983 lists the Superleggera/Specialissima as Bianchi's Top End bike. Isn't that exactly what the ebay ad states? However, in your favor, I would only add that Bianchi used the term, "Specialissima" denoting various models over the years, including team bikes and other models that were not even listed in any catalog and that can lend to soem confusion.

Bianchi's top model each year was the team bike; some years it was the Super Leggera, some years it was the Super Corsa, some years ?. The Specialissima was not the top of their line.

Here's some catalogs with models available in the USA: •Bianchi Catalog, 1982 -- 24 pages, twenty different models including the Campione del Mondo, Tipo Corsa, Super Leggera, Super Corsa, and Super Pista...

•Bianchi Catalog, 1983 -- 32 pages, sixteen different models including the Campione del Mondo, Tipo Corsa, Super Leggera, and Super Pista...

•Bianchi Catalog, 1985 -- 28 pages, nineteen different models including the Centenario celebrating Bianchi's 100th year constructing bikes, Mondiale, Campione...
