Subject: [CR]GOODIE BAGS FROM FRANCE

Just a very quick email to acknowledge all those emails I received off-List in response to my offer to go hunting for French goodies for List membersThe consensus seems to vbe on the look-out for Singers, with the odd Gemini, or track bike not far behind.

I have already identified in France a couple of possible Singers - one of them a lady's model, now laying in my barn waiting to be identified The other is not too far away.

I have convinced my wife that she should take the plane back home about a fortnight before I am due to leave in, hopefully, a fully laden-with-bikes- estate car. That will give me soon free time for sniffing out the Singers and Gemini. I shall be passing quite near where these major builders work(ed) and will detour to look around the S/H shops, brocantes etc. Wouldn't it be great though to be bombimg around the Francilienne - the outer outer ring road and to catch sight of the " SINGERS 'R US" sign next door to the IKEA furniture store.
