I built a front wheel up for my on topic Bartali during the aero crazy '80s using a Matrix Iso aero section rim, Hoshi bladed spokes with the hooked ends so one didn't have to slot the holes in the flange, laced radially to NR low flange hubs and proceeded to rack up big miles on said wheel. In fact I still have the wheel and would probably still be riding it if I hadn't come to my senses and realised how fugly it was.

Of course I'm one of those people who almost never breaks anything so... YMMV
