Check the bid history on this der and you'll see that some interesting stuff was going on there.

One bidder from Japan bid far more than the thing was worth...then *Jim the K* started bidding it up for reasons that totally escape me. And finally h-naniwa from Japan won the auction at what strikes me as a totally absurd price.

Note that the top two bidders have relatively few ebay transactions...that would suggest (but not confirm) that neither of these bidders have full knowledge of the market for these derailleurs.

'course, I could be totally wrong. Maybe there's something else going on here. Could it be a der for a french-diameter seat-tube? Weren't those different from the italian diameters? No? Yes?

In any event, even a clean Record front with the cable guide isn't worth that much... weird.
