Pete: Thanks. As I mentioned to another lister who was kind enough to reply, I am not being naive about the english-metric equivilence; but, seeking to identify the proper nomeclature. I am guessing, guessing, guessing that the chrome, steel, swaged seat pin is regarded as 1 inch while the alloy seat pin is regarded as 25.4.

Yes, 20-30, basic bike iron. A Yeoman, does its job dependably and predictably - from late March through early November every year for nearly 30 years.

Mine is a straight post and is 25.4.
I believe this is due to it being a 20-30 Hi-ten frame.
