I have used DHL to ship electronic components and electronic sub-assemblies all over the world and my experience has been that DHL DOES A REALLY LOUSY JOB!!! In one incident, DHL left $40K worth of electronic components out in the rain for two days at the Frankfurt airport, which destroyed 80% of the items, then they proceeded to loose the shipment for a week, insisting that "we think it's been delivered", then DHL finally delivered the 14 boxes to Bulgaria three weeks late. To this date, they have NOT paid the claim and continue to bill me full price for the freight!! Needless to say, I don't use them any longer. I don't know what you're training those drivers to do, Mike, but at least see if you can get them not to leave packages out in the rain, OK?

If you are shipping internationally, I have had great success using TNT, especially if you are shipping items from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, or Eastern Europe to the U.S.

I am at DHL in Atlanta right now training their drivers.

Was wondering if anybody had any experience shipping framesets via DHL yet? I see all their commercials and they want to compete with the big names obviously. I have a Merckx and a Mercian frameset I plan on unloading soon, just trying to get info since I have been away from CR the last 2 years. Any info is appreciated. Tony Zanussi (unloading 2 framesets still leaves me with 6 others)! Kansas City, MO
