The Park FR-4 Freewheel remover works on splined freewheels made by Regina, Atom (some of which were Schwinn OE), Normandy, Zeus, Everest, and others. Bicycle Research and Phil Wood also sell equivalent removers. Most are thin walled so you don't have to remove the axle locknuts. I can't imagine whay anyone buys the thick walled model, but they are still available. You can buy these removers at Bike Tools etc. or better LBS's like the ones owned by CR members.

I know there is a danger in writing about a bike that is sitting home in the basement, when you are at work, unless your memory is sharper than mine. However. I have the Park FR-4 (at least I think it is an FR-4. I just got it from the LBS to fit a splined Regina FW), and it does not fit around the locknut.

Off in search of the thin-walled remover,
