I'm just curious Dale. Would you exclude my 1959, absolutely seamless, cutom made Les Ephgrave fillet brazed track bike? He was, as I understand it, esteemed not just for fancy lugs, but for impeccable quality. On the other hand I have, over the years, taken various Italian lugged bikes in for respray jobs after race crashes. I remember once, I brought a Rossin in to Tom Kellogg. Although he did the paint work....he thought the build work was, excuse the expression, piss-poor and mass produced. It did race will however.
