Wow - looks like not an auction but just a buy it outright for nearly 4K. The price seems wacko - but if your a Paramount collector ask this (assuming the paint is original and the bike really jives - I don't know enough to say on this).

What was the last time an original Nervex lug bike with the Paramount bits showed up for sale? This if all original, is truely a transitional frame - it represents the intersection of the old Paramount and parts with the new style of framebuilding with the Nervex lugs. Bikes like this certainly did exist. I was hopelessly outbid on a Nervex lugged with Paramount parts 3sp at the Schwinn auction years ago. This bike looks like a production track bike from about the same period, although this one wasn't owned by Frank Schwinn.

Best of luck to the Paramount afficionado that appreciates this machine. But 4K is an awful lot of money for it.
