You learn something everyday I always thought that Philippe were from Belgium. Just shows how wrong you can be but the correct spelling is with a single L. Their "Glissiere" and "Aero" steel extensions coupled with "Americain" chrome drops were popular for donkeys years on the track here. If anyone looks at photos of a typical Rene Herse demontable, the "custom Herse stem" is actually the front section of a steel Phillipe. Again, talking steel demontable stems with the QR, not the alloy ones.
