Trek spec'd a Super Record 27.4 post on their Reynolds 753R frames. 753R seat tubes were very thin and came with 27.4 ID. IIRC the 531 "Professional" lightweight set also used 27.4mm. --

I'm not sure that Reynolds 531 Pro tubing uses only 27.4, as I have a Austro-Daimler Ultima SL (Superlight) frameset in the basement with this tubing, and I believe it takes a 27.2 post ('cause I never did have a 27.4 post here in my "shop"). I can confirm that if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd add this in.
