Great points, guys. And, you know, the retro market and the current market criss cross each other all the time. For instance, in the Corvette and Thunderbird world, guys will own both new AND old examples, and it's the total synergy between the two that makes the mojo. The old props up the new and builds on tradition. And the new reaches the old buyers with an infusion of current-day excitement, enticing them to buy new stuff they otherwise would not buy but for the link to the past. It's classic cross marketing and mystique building. Wish the component industry would do more like what Gios and others have done in issuing reproduction framesets.
