Peter, this quote is in fact not absurd in the least but rather quite reasonable. I'm not sure what experience you draw on to judge this, but I've been sourcing products in the USA/Europe/Asia for 20 years, bikes, components, footwear, apparel and plenty of plastic and that number is based on what is typical in Taiwan. A similar mold in the USA might cost double that, depending on mold details. As in all things in life, you get what you pay for. $750 won't buy any injection mold I've ever seen and in fact only buys about 10 hours of USA machine time, with no money left over for materials. Not sure what you can make with that. Just reporting the news, I got nothing to sell here.
