Subject: [CR]'60s era Bianchi Record

Hi all,

New to the list and need some info. I've just become the (proud?) owner of a early '60s Bianchi Record frame. It's the one that was announced here on the 10th that was on eBay. The frame comes with what appears to be Bianchi-panto'd Magistroni crankset/BB with a rather unusual 52/36 ratio (if i can count correctly from the photo).

I'm taking this on as a restoration project over the next year or so (or longer) and need some info. Where did the Record rank in Bianchi's offerings of the period? Aside from the crankset, what components might have been found on a stock Record? I'm assuming Campy derailleurs/shifters,etc, but Record or GS? Regina freewheel?

I've a NOS set of MAFAC Racers. Would these be appropriate or are they wrong (too gauche? too French?)? Or should I search out some Universal Mod 61s? What about bars/stem?

Thanks in advance for any and all info.

Best Regards,
