Subject: [CR]RIP ALAN aluminum bonded frames

I heard a few days ago that ALAN aluminum bonded frames had passed away forever. These frames, which have been produced almost unchanged for 30+ years, were in the 2002 ALAN catalogue, had unique custom-cast aluminum lugs and anodized tubes in cool colors.

Since the lugs were an ALAN in-house invention, not even a frame builder or welder can make a replica frame now, I believe. These very vintage frames have been lost to mankind forever ... *sniff* ...

Dear Mr. Gillies,

we have received your e-mail from Mel Pinto and we can inform the model 303 is not more in production because our stock of aluminium lugs is empty and it's not convenient to re-make it considering the poor request of that kind of frame from the market.

I suggest you the new model Carbon X33, with aluminim lugs and carbon tubes, similar to the 303.

For any information about it, you can reach our web site http://www.alan-bikeframes.com or our US web site http://www.euromediagroup.us
