> The method I have used in the past is to grind or file off the rivet end on the INSIDE of the headtube (you could try a drill bit on the head of the rivet, but that's risky, one slip and you drill something you don't want drilled) and then push the rivet out. It's a bit like putting a ship in a bottle, but if you have a short headtube you can get a Dremel tool in, that's the quickest. Otherwise a half-round or rattail file will reach the deeper recesses. Once you have filed the mushroomed ends flush with the tube, you need a prying/pushing tool to force the rivet shaft out. I've used a bent wire "made to fit" and strong enough to lever. Once you push the head partially out you can grab it with needlenose pliers and pull that sucker to the trashcan. On reinstallation: if I'm feeling especially anal-retentive, I tap the holes with a miniature tap and use tiny machine screws...then it's removeable for the "next guy".
