My name is Kevin and Live in Southeast Wisconsin. I have a 1975 Falcon San Remo bike with full campy Record and Nuvo Record. I still am currently riding the bike on group rides but with a set of clincher tires. Everything works and is original on the bike. The paint is starting to show its age but is in very good shape. The parts on the bike are still in very good shape and work very well. I had a Cannondale road bike to replace the Falcon and parked the bike in 1992 and have not rode it untill this season. After the Cannondale I started riding recumbents and still do but a group ride started near my house with some friends and I could not afford a new road bike so I just cleaned up the falcon put a new set of tires on her and hit the road. I was very pleasently supprised how well this bike handled after so many years of not riding it and how well it climbed even compared to the modern bikes from Trek and Kline. I honestly prefer the ride of a fine steel over some of the new kinds of materials like Ti and carbon or especially aluminum. I read some of the posts about the Falcon and I believe mine was the top of the line bike at the time. There is a serial number stamped on the BB that I could share if this would help identify the bicycle and when it was manufactured. I got to tell ya that this great old bike turns heads at our group ride and I can still make this old bike move out. Take care...
