Subject: [CR]'73 Schwinn World Voyageur- Was: barcons

I had the flu last month and got quite behind on my email. Since I have two '73 World Voyageurs, (and one more on the way!!) I particularly enjoyed reading all your comments. The one below concerning losing sales is exactly what the shop owner told me when I bought my first Voyageur. I have no idea if he was being truthful with me, I just know he said it. That was in the early spring of '74.

As far as the Barcons and Crane combo, they have worked flawlessly for me for over 30 years. The Voyageur I bought brand new is the Kool Orange 23" frame. I also have a 23" in blue. I just got it a couple of years ago. The Voyageur "on the way" is a 2nd 23" orange. It was such a good deal, I couldn't pass it up. The wife doesn't know about this one yet. It has some non original parts (the bike that is), so I have some work to do on it. The only color I don't have is the yellow Voyageur. Someday I'll find one of them and have a complete set!
