But isn't it a bit nuts to pay $300 for a pair of rims that Baron (Banana Brain) already has up for sale on the Renaissance Cycles website for $119???? Did someone eat too much pie today? Perhaps it was me? Please fill me in on this, please.

OK, I'll unmask myself; I was the winning bidder. What can I say? I want what I want, and it must be original -- no stickers on the cheaper stuff. Besides, another Masi owner (I believe, very well known to the CR List) was bidding against me! I paid too much but I got the real deal for my one and only '70's Masi GC.

For my money I'd just as soon use any tradition section sew-up rim and put on a repro rim decal of choice for the manufacturer. Can anyone easily i.d. a rim when there isn't a decal present?
