i don't recall reading any posts critical of chris' ebay
purchase; my initial and follow up posts were rooted in my
happiness that these items are now fetching higher prices
than ever. i like that. why? i am not sure i can articulate
the reasons. i do think that collecting and discussing
vintage bicycles - or antiques, for that matter - is a
truly elite endeavor, and debating the value of something
is such an arcane use of time that it's silly to take sides
once you're in the fold. all of us are irrational. period.
