Dave (and anyone who's interested);

Many of the Campy collectors focus on the old stuff so even tho there are a few very nice sites with component photos (Velostuf and a few Japanese collectors) you are probably out of luck.

I have collected many of the Campy catalogs, some of which are quite expensive (I have about $800 invested so far). I have made this available on a CD for $20 plus $1 shipping. I have been reluctant to sell it on Ebay in order to avoid possible copyright concerns, but have made it available to listmembers.

Unlike the .pdf files available at Campyonly.com and Camagnolo.com web sites, these are extremely high resolution full color scans of each page (or two facing pages in the case of spreads). The CD contains over 900 scans, (most at 300dpi some at 200 dpi) of all Campy catalogs up to 2003 (well, I just finished 2004 but it still needs to be cleaned up). I am missing three older catalogs (#11, 12, 15), but everything after 1968 is there.

#14 - 1960 #16 - 1968 #16 Supplement - 1971 #17 - 1974 #17 Supplement - 1975 "Olympic" - 1984 #18 - 1985 Synchro - Nov. 1985 Victory / Triomphe - Nov. 1985 #18bis - 1986 Record - Feb. 1987 Record - Nov. 1987 Synt - Nov. 1987 Croce d' Aune - Mar. 1988 Athena - April 1988 Chorus - April 1988 All Groups - June 1990 "Anaheim" - Sept. 1990 All Groups - Jan. 1991 Road Range - 1992 Rims - 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003

Also included are a few Campy newsletters, tech sheets, and parts catalogs (as the CD has filled up, I've bumped some of the parts catalogs... I guess I'm going to have to start working on a second CD or transfer the project to DVD if I ever get a burner).

You can browse these files with a good image reader (i.e. Irfanview) or photo editor (Photoshop), or even the Windows default file viewer, though it's a little clunky. They can be printed of course, and since they are high resolution, the results on a good printer and good paper should be comparable to the originals (I don't recommend doing hardcopies of the newer catalogs, after 1992 or so, however. Given the cost of paper and ink it is cheaper to collect the originals off Ebay).

If you'd like a copy, let me know. I can take Paypal or check or money order.

Hello list:     I have spent the last couple days searching Google for a website that shows the breakdown of the history of Campy components, without much luck. I did find a few good classic bike sites with sporatic and basically scattered information on what they seem to like, but nothing that even resembles something comprehensive or even basically shows the Campy Record changes over the years.  Campy has made so many changes from the 80s to present, its hard to keep track and some parts of other lines look similar, etc.  I just thought I would ask anyone here if there is such a website. Nowadays, with everything being on the web, I was almost surprised to not find what I was looking for this  time. I'm sure a lot of CL members have this info in their heads. Especially a bike shop owner who sold all the lines.   On the bright side, I found some really good sites where some people scanned in Campy parts breakdowns on various lines, but like I said, their coverage is very sketchy. I would like to read about the years that Campy changed from 5-to-6-to-7-8-9 and 10 speed, and when they exactly did it and if there are any rare Campy Record lines that only existed for a very short time.  I have seen a bunch of weird stuff on eBay and I don't believe some of the descriptions, and it appears that they often aren't sure.  More time than not, I think that they may be trying to pass something off as 'Record' when its some other similar cheaper line. On the other hand,it could be a rare edition.  Did Campy every put out a history book that shows their lines, year by year?  That would be nice to have and take care of my desire. I saw a Schwinn history book go on eBay for about $120 last week, that was kind of nice, but I didn't buy it because I am not really into old Schwinns enough to pay that money.  But a nice Campy book, that would be different. I hope someone can email me regarding answering any of my above questions.

Thanks,
