Subject: [CR]Mike Melton Frame and Fork

Let me introduce myself to the list. My name is Stephen Simon. I have been a lurker for a while on the list. I attended my first Cirque back in May of this year.

I have a question concerning a Green 55CM Mike Melton Frame I bought at the Cirque in Greensboro. I am getting ready to build it but am unsure of the bikes timeframe. I was told it was a 1974, but I am not sure. It has no serial number anywhere on the frame and fork. It is Reynolds 531. It has a Campy alloy headset and a Cartridge bearing bottom bracket with The Name OMAS on it. I understand that Mike Melton built when he lived in South Carolina

Would anyone on the List have an Idea what components would be era appropriate for this? I have some 1st generation Shimano Dura ace and 600 parts. I also have some Heavily used Campagnolo Super Record parts I got from a local swap meet. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Its pictured online here.
