Well, here's what I've got going. Not sure what all will get done this winter, but I never like to run out of projects: 1) 1958 Paramount tourist. Already painted, many years ago at Waterford, with correct hat and ring decals. Just got the correct 26 x 1 1/4 rims and tires for it so time to start putting parts on it. Probably a single chainwheel with a 5-speed cog and a Campy Record derailleur. Some kind of centerpulls and upright bars with proper brake levers. This frame has chainguard tabs. Anyone got a chainguard to put on it? 2) 30s FH Grubb. Painted it a couple years ago. Time to get that one on the road too. Maybe some woodies and a fixed gear. 3) 20s Charles Gibb. Similar story to above but I think it will take some 26 x 1 1/4 also. Good thing I found two pair. 4) 30s Australian Armstrong "track". Not really a track bike with it's 45" wheelbase but it has rear facing drops. Probably woodies and a fixed there too. 5) 60s Girardengo. A recent find. Fix a couple dents then off to the chrome platers. Has a good head badge, and I have good art to make the dt decal. Anyone have a good pic of a seat tube decal? 6) 62 Frejus. Another recent find. Will also get rechrome and repaint, then some nice tubulars on the Legnano hubs I've been saving, and Campy Gran Sport derailleurs. Came with a steel Frejus crank (Magistroni?) 7) 55 Hurlow-built Condor. Maybe you saw it on ebay last week. Had to have it. Worthy of some early Campy I've been saving. 8) 72 Chrome Paramount P-10/15. Needs only decals and all the parts. I have one set of original 70s Paramount wheels (with original zinc torrington spokes) so will build it up pretty stock, with a triple so it will be a P-15. Maybe a Rally derailleur instead of the Schwinn approved Crane. 9) late 60s Falcon San Remo. Just need to bolt on a few more parts then ride it. 10) 60s Godio. Here is a builder most have never heard of. I now have 4 of his bikes ranging from this one to one that was made only 6 yrs ago. He is 90 and only quit making frames at age 84. I have pics of him and his shop. Also, there are 18 more frames that will eventually be shipped over here, mostly more recent I believe. The 60s one I am keeping has lovely chrome lugs and flat chrown, very early Cinelli-ish. Came with all its original Campy parts so that is what will go back on it after cleaning them up. This is the one I mentioned in my earlier post that had the rattle-can paint job, but they thankfully left the head and seat tube decals so I can reproduce them. There is a 59 cm one also that will get similar treatment. It is a beautifully made bike and will get returned to its former glory over the winter. Anyone who is interested in owning this let me know and I will keep you apprised of its progress. The other 20 are post-CR era but nice also. 11+) And if I run out of stuff to do, there are those two 30s British tandems I've had for a couple years now. One of these days... Another find recently that I think won't get restored is a 39 Schwinn New World Track bike. Has original parts with wood rims on Schwinn hubs etc. Too nice to restore. This weekend I finally found some time to hang a bunch of bikes from the ceiling of my store (Elliott Bay Bicycles) so next time any of you visit you will have a treat.
