I received a note today from Due Thorn of the VCC about setting up a Midwest Chapter of the VCC. She has family matters that kept her from getting back to me sooner, and I've been delayed while looking for employment and settling into our new home in Shorewood. Below is part of her response to me. I will be joining the VCC today, and once this is done, I'll proceed with an application to set up the Midwest group.
I've received a number of emails from folks on the CR interested in joining and a few others who already are in the VCC. If you have not written to me yet, please email and let me know of your interest in joining. Once the VCC has been established in this area, I or another member will likely take VCC appplication and forward them to the UK.
Below is Sue Thorn's note to me. Thank you to everybody for your patience while I work on this. ...................................................... Peter I took your message to the V-CC Committee last week, to let them know that you wanted to start a section in the Midwest. They thought this was a good idea. So what I suggest is, once you have joined the V-CC you send a letter (email) to me, or to Roger Bugg, (V-CC secretary) outlining your proposal, this will then go to the Committee who will adopt the proposal and make the section official. ...................................................... As soon as I've received more information I'll forward it to the list.
