Hi Martin, You can replace just the cogs on your current Uniglide freewheel. You can even use cogs from newer Hyperglide freewheels with some minor dremel or file work. There's a good article by Sheldon Brown on this: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/k7.html I had a close range DuraAce freewheel and wanted better climbing gears for my old knees. Used an old mountain bike freewhel and had easy success. You'll need 2 chaintools to remove the outer lockring cog. Mine was on pretty tight so I slipped a big pipe over the end of the tool for increased leverage. Good luck, Fred
