re: BERMA:

New Jerseyan April Pedersen maintains a very nice website about cycling and the Veneto (http://www.biciveneto.it/index.htm)

She happens to own a current BERMA; this page shows how the name came about, where they are, and how to contact them: http://www.biciveneto.it/favorites.htm. Should the link disappear in the future this is what it says about the BERMA name: BERMA was originally an acronym for BErtocco MArio, who founded the company in the 1930's; it later came to stand for BErtocco Mario, Renzo, and Antonio).

> I'm once again doing my annual update to the Used Bike Buyers Guide. Below are makes starting with A-B-C that don't show much information in the guide. I prefer to list city, country, when the make began (and ended), and who was the founder. If you have information on these, please send them to me off-list. Thanks. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
