Hi all,
I recently bought a Batavus online for a couple hundred bucks,and when it arrived- what a surprise! It had a braze-on for a number, and the name "Leontien van Moorsel" on the top tube. It is a Batavus Professional which is black, white and red. It has the word "Amev" near the seat on the top tube. The frame is Columbus SLX and equipped with C-record components. It appears the stem, pedals, headset and bars are not original. It has a Shimano 600 headset. The serial number is 11947.
If anyone may know more history on the bike other than it belonged to a 3 time Olympic champion, I would appreciate it. Also, I would like to know what the original equipment was in order to replace the new components.
