well the season (whatever you happen to celebrate) is upon us.

a very close friend of mine has fallen in love with her first OT bike (early 70s px-10). she has been haranguing me about the prospect of a fixed gear as she has also gotten much more comfortable on two wheels in the past several months. so, i figured for a holiday gift a new frame (or bike) would be a great gift.

looking for: high priority- quality vintage track/path racer, structurally sound, no rust, paint/decals can be in any condition. a rider, not a collector.

that's probably a pipe dream, so i'm also looking for: any quality lugged OT bike that's clean of braze-ons and derailleur hangers which would be suitable for a fixed/free (flip flop) set-up. any condition paint/decals, minimal rust and no damage, please.

size: up to 45cm. the lower, the better as she is 5'2.

and as we're both poor young un's, the cheaper the better!

if it piques anybody's interest, i have quite a collection of jazz, funk, soul, and punk rock 45s and LPs and am always interested in trades for frames, parts, etc.

thank you dan "putting off writing a paper for 'professor' tom hayes that's due tomorrow" polito cleveland, ohio.
