You know, a couple of us were talking off list, about the fact that we have all this talk about Masi, but never hear much about Witcomb USA, which ought to be an equally interestimg tale, since Richie and Peter Weigle were both there. Some time I'd like to hear the tale about how Richie apprenticed in UK (was Peter there also?), then how these two helped start up Witcomb USA, and the rise and fall of this venture. Why is it a Richard Sachs or Peter Weigle built Witcombe isn't as sought after as a Confente-built Masi? I don't think the happy fact that both these guys are still with us and still building completely accounts for that.

Then we were thinking, who is left... with actually real, active workshops? So there should be Bob Jackson, Woodrup, Charles Roberts, Mercian, Ellis Briggs (?), Ron Cooper, Arthur Caygill (?), Trevor Jarvis, Alex Moulton, Dave Yates, Hetchins, Pashley(?), Dawes (?)

Who is missing? Surely there are other small builders.

What about it gang?
