Fred,

I have. And it is really cool because you get to meet the owner and completely inspect the bike prior to buying it. I usually ask if people can send me a digital pic so I have a general idea of what the person has. The people selling these bikes are usually quite fascinated when you start talking "bike talk" with them. I have come across some REAL finds. And sometimes they will start pulling other bikes and parts out to see if you are interested. So always take more cash than you need.

When I saw the ad for the $800.00 Masi I was stoked! When I learned the owner was "out of the country and wanted to close the deal quickly," I knew something was wrong.
