I was looking at some of the parts on the 30's track bike I bought this summer, and on the fork crown I noticed some marks I'd missed earlier. It has a BSA logo on the side away from the serial number. So have I found the identity of the maker, or did BSA make crowns for sale to other makers.

If BSA just made bikes, I'd like to see a catalog from 1937, The model should be easy to figure out, since it's got that weird tube on the bottom joining the head and downtube.

On the bad side, I also noticed a nasty crack in the steerer. So I'll have to figure out who to get it replacd by, as well as replated. Unless someone happens to have a BSA fork they'd part with.
