Ted and all,

I've often thought about this. What good does it do the sport/hobby/passion if we don't somehow pass on the knowledge and love, to those who come after us? We can debate and talk about Masi's forever, but don't we need to educate those newbies who seem to think the sport started with Lance? Those new riders who get on a bike today, are part of a continuing saga and tradition, which is so full of fascinating stories and lore.

Though some consider me a "retro grouch," the basics I learned in the 70's are still applicable today. No doubt I will listen to Ted, just as some newbies listen to me. We need to somehow involve these new bicycle riders.
