This is both 'on' and 'off' topic if you like...
I recently contacted ALAN Cycles in Italy to seek their help with a 1980s 'Cross Frameset that I acquired secondhand.
Without going into specifics I have to say that I was absolutely stunned by the excellence and promptness of service that Albert Falconi provided to me - someone who can only be described as a 'customer' in the very loosest sense (over 20 years and at least one other owner removed!)
Just thought that it was worth bringing the attention of the list, if for instance anyone was "thinking the unthinkable" and 'buying new'!
In this cynical old world it's worth remebering that service rather than price counts for a lot - and the price was right too...
