Another refind. While my wife was entertaining her 95 year old mother at our home today, I started browsing among a few brochures and found another Raleigh oldie. I suspect it's from late'50's or early '60's. It has a blue cover, issued by Raleigh Industries of America, Raleigh Cycle Distributors, at the old Boylston Street location in Boston It lists all the parts, models, spare parts, decals included with beautiful b&w photos and the #s. It still has the price insert to take out for dealer confidentiality so the store could show the Catalogue to the public. Its about 8"x12" and is 32 pages. Also included are all the S.A. hubs and lights extant at the time The book is complete for Raleigh, Rudge , and Humber, includes the rod brake models, too No complete bikes, just frames, forks, cranks, hubs, bars, saddles, rims, spoke chart, etc., etc. I suffered glancing through the book while my wife and MiL chatted, so I agreed to have supper with them and share my champagne, and all was well. Hah! Also snuggling up to the catalogue was the Raleigh color professional frameset brochure with John Allis on the cover. This shows both the 531 midnite blue and gold colors, as well as the 753 red w. black and yellow model. I will be happy to send these along with the other book(s) on my previous post so you may scan these in also if desired. Sharing these items with like minded enthusiasts is part of the fun of the CR. I've been seeing and learning lots of new stuff too, and that's what it's all about. Please let me know if any of this is useable for the timeline and Retro Raleigh Listing.
