Here's my take. Even if you apprentice to someone you're gonna make some frames for yourself and friends and put your name on them. The graphics would be very basic at that point though. I can't see the graphics on the De Rosa Classic 1953 well enough to judge the era of the graphics. Graphic trends and looks are fairly easy to date generally; sort of like bell bottoms and wide ties ;-)
