I didn't say the bike was a bargain. I do think that this is a beautiful bike to look at, great auction presentation, and guess what ?? it has nice _lug lining_ ... :-) :-)
It seems to me that NOS bikes oftentimes fetch almost the same price as their descendants from today, e.g. $2495 for a NOS raleigh pro, etc., is about what you'd pay for a raleigh team bike with chorus today. Compared to a $2495 NOS 1977 raleigh pro, this bike seems to be not overpriced, and not underpriced.
