I have a set of those on a Sugino Super Mighty crankset (actually marked as such I think). Same design as the Mighty, a Campy NR clone, except for the fancier rings and some cosmetic changes to the arms. I think these came out in the early to mid 80's, but I don't know exactly waht year.

I bought them in the early 80s, and is wondering if anyone knows about these? For instance the actual year or years that Sugino did this.

I was struck by that wonderful contrast of the yellow Benotto bar tape on this with the blue paint. To me, this looks more late '70s to early '80s when Benotto colour cellotape or whatever they called that stuff (always reminds me of gift wrapping ribbon) was simply de rigeur. Just when was Benotto tape introduced? Or was it around for years and only really cool guys used it before it became the fad du jour?

A lovely machine even if it has all those little holes in the chainset.
