I had a Cresent like this one back in 1975, and it wasn't orange! Mine was built in 72 or so and was still in the box unbuilt in 1975. Strange mix of a 531 frame, tipo hubs steel cranks and steel suntour GTs.

On a side note if you have a Cresent catalog stop looking at the girl on the front for a minute and you'll find a picture of a 1880s or so Cresent that had just made it back to Sweden. That 1880s bike came from Bill Morgan who owned Morgan's Bike Shop in Mishawaka, IN. That's how he became a Cresent dealer , and that was my first job in a bike shop in 1975.

Also my first "10 speed" was a Cresent, it was a high ten frame with very odd lugs. The lugs only covered the joints and didn't wrap around the headtube.

Oh yeah, both were blue!
