Wheels of Change Exhibit opens at the Pasadena Museum of History this Saturday, February 7th at Noon. There are planned special events to go with the exhibition. More will come, stay tuned. CALENDAR OF EVENTS

A series of educational and entertaining programs are scheduled to compliment and enhance the exhibit:

•Lecture - Wheels of Change: An Historical Overview of Bicycle History and exhibit highlights by co-curator, Dennis Crowley. Saturday, February 14, 2:00 p.m.

•Magical History Tour Saturday, February 21, 10:30 a.m. Join in on a free bike ride to Pasadena's Historic Landmarks. Period clothing and bicycles encouraged. A reception and exhibit tour follow the ride at 12:00 noon. Co-sponsored by Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition.

•Free Lecture: Major Taylor - World Champion Cyclist Saturday, February 28, 2:00 p.m. Author Andrew Ritchie discusses the remarkable accomplishments of the first African American world champion (1889) in celebration of Black History Month.

•ArtNight Pasadena Friday, March 12, 6:00-10:00 p.m. Special display of period bicycles and entertainment by The Major Chords Barbershop Quartet enhance the exhibit during this free citywide event.

•Free Reception & Private Exhibit Viewing for Visiting Educators Thursday, March 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Open to all teachers in the community.

•Free Family Bicycling Workshop Saturday, April 18, 2:00 p.m. Tips on bicycle safety, maintenance, and great riding opportunities. Co-sponsored by Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition.

•Lecture - A Journey to the 1890s Saturday, April 24, 2:00 p.m. Novelist Catherine Karp discusses the changing lifestyles of women at the end of the 19th century and how the bicycle played a pivotal role in women's fight for emancipation.

•Free Demo Day (Co-sponsored by Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition) Sunday, June 6 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon - Pasadena Historic Landmarks Bike Ride 12:00-4:00 p.m. - Display of the latest in bicycle design and technology from leading manufacturers and opportunities to "test drive" bike models.

•City of Pasadena Birthday Celebration and Free Family Bicycle Decorating Event Sunday, June 20, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Bring your bikes and decorate them as they did in the Rose Parades of yesteryear. Birthday cake and prizes for all!

•Wheels of the Future Sunday, July 25, 2:00-4:00 p.m. Panel discussion focusing on the future of bicycling in Southern California. =============================================================================
