Peter: I sincerely regret you being distressed by the empirical acid test dissolving myth. None-the-less, may I ask that you place me in your will as recipeint of the 51 Clubman? Thank you. Warmest Regards, Richard Cielec Chicago, Illinois

Oh no.... say it's not so.... another childhood legend dashed to pieces....!! First this list tells me the TI Raleigh team bikes of the 1970s were built by Dutchmen and now you tell me Reg rode.... not a Raleigh.. but some "bespoke" bike sans the girly lugs....!!! I am so devastated, I am going to take my '51 Clubman out in the snow and ice and probably kill myself in the process....

Peter Kohler, confident this rumour will be disproved by someone... anyone....
