Harris cyclery carries most taps you'd need for a bike. The pedal taps are at.

Most bike tap sizes are metric, or developed from older british standards. 9/16-20 is almost the same as one of the british pipe sizes, 3/8 if I recall correctly. Most of the sizes that are harder to find are "special" threads a manufacturer would use to make their product different, thus getting extra sales from special tools. Some of these can be found at specialty dealers like MSC or Maryland Metrics.

Now where could I find pedal Dies? or hub dies? I've looked, and found nothing.

With all this talk of Campagnolo crankset failures, I'm reminded that I need to chase the threads in my crank arms as well as clean up the threads on two sets of Campagnolo pedals.

So, silly me, I Googled Tap & Die sets. Lots of sets, nothing 9/16 x 20.

The closest thing I can find are rethread kits (sounds right to me) on the Snap On site.

Any ideas for specific products? Any particular reason why everything kind of stops at 9/16 x 18 and skips 9/16 x 20?
