The seller of this Cipo bike has been trying to move it for several months. The seller has conducted several "auctions" but for one reason or another, the deal is never finalized. The last go round they were adamant that they had a buyer at 7,500 euro (USD $9500) and wanted to see if I would bid higher. My response was that if someone was willing to pay anywhere near that amount, they clearly loved the bike more than I ever would. Certainly a nice bike. However, in my opinion the bike is worth no where near that amount and the bike will likely decrease in value for several years before there is any potential for price appreciation.

More on topic, today I was able to acquire a second batch of original Rebour drawings. I was able to "show and tell" the first stash of drawings, which I obtained a few weeks ago, at the Silicon Valley vintage ride yesterday. The drawings I brought to the ride were predominately French components from the 1950's and early 1960's. Todays batch is 1960's Campagnolo components and Bianchi accessories (fenders, lights, etc.) and total approximately 60 drawings. All of the Rebour drawings are pen & ink on heavy drawing paper. (similar in weight to card stock)

I know several people on the list who are aware of the first French batch who have requested to see jpeg images of the drawings. I hope to post some of the drawings to the web in the next couple of weeks.

As to the Campy Rebour drawings, I will probably wait until my next trip to Paris to take delivery rather than having them mailed to me.
