Mick,

That sounds much like the Stronglight 105 crankset and would be from about 1976 until the very early '80's if memory serves me correctly (now that's a long shot!). Earliest 105's had "Stronglight" engraved at the top of the crankarm above the flute horizontally just like 93's; later 105's had the "Stronglight" forged vertically right into the center of the flute.
