Mod "Sprint" was the less expensive variant.. Mod "Record" or "Super Record" were fancier, top of the line versions. Supposedly the top models had thinner more exotic alloys ("Ergal", etc. ) I think Alan started squeezing tubes in the 1980s to be "with it" in the "Aero" age.
