Maybe I can learn something here, but I was one of the first Trek reps fin the start up days and I can tell you that Trek was 100% against racing sponsorships from the very earliest times. This continued well into the 1990s I think and their first racer sponsorship was mountain bikes not road. Now they might have given someone a "pro deal" or slide some frames to a bigger dealer for his crew, but true race involvement was scoffed at.. I do not recall any Treks under any 7-11 riders, and I don't believe it happened. Rebecca Twigg may have had a Trek at one time?

Of course then Lance came along and rocked their whole world.
