Subject: [CR]Celeste cable: Postlog

After all the to do about the celeste cable housing thread, the housing arrived today. It IS celeste, it IS NOT SIS. Looking into the cut ends one can clearly see the spiral wound steel casing. You can even see the spiral pattern for the full length of the housing as an impression on the outer coating. Don't know why they would tell me it was SIS. So, to repeat the point of my original post, Bicycle Michael's in New Orleans has celeste brake housing, though a little pricey at $2.50 per ft.

I still want to thank Roy Drinkwater for warning abut the hazards of using SIS for brakes. Such a warning is never Off-Topic. I learned something from Roy and I suspect a lot of others did as well.
