The 3Rensho that I have, Katana Pro not the Katana/S, has a serial number that indicates that is was a custom or show bike. The water bottle bosses, a few chip of paint on the top tube, down tube, where the seat bolt is and a few areas on the fork look like the chrome is highly polished. The question that I have is did 3Rensho chrome and polish that chrome prior to painting? Or maybe, being a show bike, that this frame was presented as a full chrome frame and fork then painted later on prior to being sold to a customer. The frame was sold through a shop in Japan about three years after being built. The bike will be at the Cirque and would like to get some opinions on this as if it is chrome I am thinking about stripping it and putting on new transfers.
