SUNTOUR derailleurs use a lot of cable pull,the "BARREL" of
the SUNTOUR shifter is large and SIMPLEX for one uses a small
barrel,meaning major lever movement to shift thru the gear range.
I learned this a long time ago while doing a derailleur swap
on a bike with stem shifters
