"ok my memory is failing me...

someone at Cirque told me about a polish similar too Simichrome that was available at Williams Sonoma. I got something there called Wenol, made in Germany, that looks and smells like Simichrome, but is much cheaper and comes in a big tube."

Wenol is fine, but you need to buy Simichrome, like everything else, on eBay... there are folks selling this stuff CHEAP, cheaper than Brasso at the grocery store.

Just imagine if you had a brand new bike.. you'd never, ever have to polish alloy again. Ever. And that's just a 'orrible, 'orrible thought. Instead you'd have all that so-trendy but ever so dull, dreary carbon black stuff and dull anodised metal to... well I don't know what you'd do to it to make it other than dull and dreary. Maybe that's why the rest of bike is painted and decaled to look like a tube of toothpaste.
